Earl Abel’s has been serving the San Antonio dining community for almost 90 years and is recognized for its home style comfort foods made fresh daily.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.. Earl Abel’s is famous for its “Simply Delicious” fried chicken (San Antonio’s Best Fried Chicken 2020-22) and its award winning desserts, including pies, cakes, eclairs and creme puffs.

We serve soups, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. Our menu features comfort food staples like Chicken Fried Chicken and Steak, Roast Turkey, Meatloaf, and of course, Chicken & Waffle.

For beverages, Earl Abel’s has a full bar, serving classic cocktails and spirits. Our upgraded beverage program that includes gourmet coffee drinks, beers from local breweries, as well as hand-crafted cocktails is available ALL DAY.

San Antonio loves its history and traditions. Earl Abel’s is part of that. From its humble beginning almost ninety years ago to its recent rebirth in the Pearl, Earl Abel’s has been at the forefront of the local dining scene.

Today, back on Broadway it continues that tradition with home style cooking made fresh daily servicing breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. And take out, delivery and catering are also still available and much welcomed by some of the most loyal fans in the city.

On top of the menu is it award winning Best Fried Chicken and as always followed right up with legendary assorted pies and other pastries. The full menu contains countless other favorites and also features a full beverage program including gourmet coffees and popular mixed drinks and assortment of beers.

A new sign at the very corner of Pearl Parkway and Broadway prominently announces it location. Both vehicular and pedestrian traffic should also be aware of the patio dining available at the new location. Earl Abel’s welcomes old customers and encourages new ones to sample the historic dining experience.
